KNOW THIS 3 BASICS BEFORE YOU PLAY THE KEYS (P.O.P PIANO LESSONS ABUJA) Registration: 070 61222398

1) Know the Piano Finger numberings. your first right hand finger is counted 1- second Finger 2 -3 -4- then 5 for the Fifth Finger. When trying out melodic interval exercises starting from KEY C, (c-d-e-f-g-) playing back and forth, that's your finger order !   
your left hand is numbered the opposite way! 5-4-3-2-1 but for both fingers, the thumb stands out as No 1 as the above diagram indicates.
2) Decide your playing or touch dynamics. 
do you want to sound Loud, soft, harsh, or very soft? knowing this helps creates your touch or ''feel'' before you play.
3) know the piano keys, their Colors and the numbers in a scale. (white and black keys)
4)  play and name each key Aloud covering all the octaves in your keyboard. start by playing all C's, D's and so on. you can even identify white keys by their positions in or next to a black key group.
