This are Simple Keys I've developed over the years that i feel every Singer should Know.
1)First Rule is Understand what Singing is! Sounds funny but is true. Singing is Acting on Pitch using proper Air-Support and Vocal Resonance(Enrichment or decoration). in other words Coordinated pitch+ Resonance+ musical vocal tone is equal to Singing.
2)Rule No2 is Understanding that Singing is Acting, but the Script is:the Song, the Character is Your Voice, and the Actor is You! it's that Simple. putting these steps into our Imaginative Focus guides us to put the right Moods, timbre, and Flair that project the Song we're Vocalising on.
